About us

We're two enthusiasts who grew up with the smell of village festivals, the sound of brass bands and tables that never seem to end.

Thibault, the son of a butcher, has been steeped in local food culture and good food since childhood. Quentin, on the other hand, spent years travelling across France to photograph and film popular festivals — férias, fest-noz, carnivals, banquets — wherever people gather to celebrate together.

We realised we were working on the same thing without knowing it. Quentin out in the field, Thibault behind the screen. We combined our worlds, and Guide Gaulois was born.

What we believe

Popular festivals aren't just entertainment. They're moments when a village comes back to life, when strangers share a table, and a tradition passed down through generations finds its meaning again.

This heritage is immense. And it deserves better than staying invisible.

What we do

In June 2026, we co-organised a popular banquet in the Gers region with Banquet Vaillant. Over 800 people gathered in an arena, around one big shared table. That's exactly the spirit of Guide Gaulois.

But day to day, our job is to make sure you find the festival near you — and that organisers have the means to make it known.

Conviviality, local roots, heritage — that's why we do this.
